Discontinuing my older blog

For those who are wondering, what other place I can be found, it is insideme.geekybuddha.org . But managing two blogs is becoming difficult for me, so I am deciding to discontinue the older blog and from now on, I will post only to this blog! Hopefully I will do justice to myself with all sort of content here. So junta please update your bookmarks and fees (:D)

With new year, I have one announcement, I am moving this blog to a new address, so I am discontinuing this blog from now on, further blog posts will be at the address, www.geekybuddha.org
I wanted to make a central place for all my online feeds, updates, so I took this decision. This blog has been a great success for me. I started it more than 2 years back, since than it has been a place for me to share my thoughts. I am grateful to all my readers who read it, posted comments and encouraged me to write more. I will continue to write on my new blog, hope that I will get similar response there, good luck to all and a very happy new year.
Year ending gift by Intel

A good news to end the year, awesomeness. I applied for the Intel Embedded Challenge and our team is selected for the second round of it. Woa! Party time!
For the challenge we have proposed a smart embedded personal assistant device , based on Intel Atom Processor, which is indeed requirement of the challenge to base device on Intel Atom processor. The idea is to make such a device which can use Internet as its knowledge base and answer to our queries, same as a human assistant do. The intuitiveness of the device is what we are more concerned about, in the design. We are now starting to work on the second phase, i.e. to give a complete detailed prototype of the design. Excited, yes I am.

Random hacks

Finally I made it to write something here, would like to start with sharing something very cool thing i made yesterday, 2 days back I was searching for a twitter for gedit plugin. I wanted something from which I can tweet while I code, as I have customized gedit for my coding needs, a twitter plugin for it would be a great enhancement, after searching and finding out nothing, I thought I should look into making my own, scratching my own itch, the mantra I learnt at foss.in . There is nice how to on gedit plugins, and woa! it was fun, I am happy to come up with something that i needed, it just works, check out here
And other than that, life is just fun these days, loving every bit of life I am living, learning a thousand things everyday,god has been so kind to me. I am hacking, eating, living, travelling all fun. Hoping that everyone is doing fine as well.
